eerm... well it actually was about jumping to the right xd but I didn't know where is solid ground and I kept missing it and jumping into the precipice. God I'm a failure xD Greatawesomeandtotallymindblowing game though!
I like the idea that the player could see themselves in olek, I'm a boy so i saw him as one too, but I'm okay with you seeing her as a girl (: truth be told he/she is a fairly genderless forest creature.
I love the whole nevermore world! its so awesome. how did u come up with this?
i was watching the movie Spirited Away and some of the scenes in that movie resembled this game. but thats ok, hayao miyazaki is a fantastic inspiration (if he happens to be yours) and both of ur works are a feast for the eyes!!
Well to be honest the first game came out of me feeling yucky about a girl and i guess was kind of a tool for escapism for me, i just kept expanding on that place. Yeah that's cool that you noticed, i think there's actually a house in the field that i lifted right out of spirited away abit naughty of me but Miyazaki is a huge influence of mine in regards to making amazing but tangible worlds that give you that amazing feeling in your stomach and makes you want to drop everything and go exploring. I'm not quite at that level yet and i dont think even nevermore 3 is quite there yet (you'll be able to make up your own mind soon hehe) but i've got plans for something new... : )
i know exactly how you feel. how i wish i could explore a hayou miyazaki film... or the clifftop fields. either one. when they were exploring those fields in Spirited i was thinking HEY!! THAT'S THE HOUSE FROM NEVERMORE 2!! lol o well it's a cool house, so it's ok that you used it.
why yes there is : D it's a song by one of my favorite bands, broken social scene [link] i was naughty to use it cuz it's technically copyrighted music but thankfully the powers that be have let it slip through the net :3 [link]
I actually came across this about one month earlier on one of those many Flash game-hoarding sites and I sorta gave up after three pushes of a button (mostly 'cos I was searching for a point-and-click, not a game that would require my total attention), but my friend's just re-sent it to me, and now I'm glad I actually tried to finish it.
The art attracted me right away the month prior (and made me sad I didn't finish it to see more), and the bouncing around, once I got the hang of it, was a lot of fun. Can't wait for more. 8D
heh it's been a while since ive played it but it i recall theres a little rock you can jump on just above the first rock you jump on to give you enough height to jump over the big one!
thanks for playing ^u ^
